Initial Meet and Greet: Paws at Home, LLC will schedule a meet and greet visit with all new clients and their pets at no charge before services are started. This first meeting is for the purpose of meeting the pet parent as well as all animals to introduce and get to know each other. There is no obligation to retain services, and Paws at Home, LLC reserves the right to refuse service at any time.
Cancellation policy: At this time there is no cancelation policy in place. We understand that life happens and sometimes schedules need to get moved around. We will try our best to accommodate these changes but cannot guarantee anything.
Payment: Payment is preferred at the time the service takes place but has a grace period of month end. Failure to provide payment by months end will result in legal action with the client being responsible for all fees and costs incurred.
Services: It is Paws at Home, LLC discretion in regard to visit lengths. Drop In visits are a maximum of 30 minutes from the time we arrive until the time we leave. Overnight visits include an overnight stay in the client’s home and needed breaks throughout the day. Discretion includes but is not limited to: weather, temperament, stress level, and scheduling. We will make every possible effort to make it to scheduled visits even in poor weather conditions. In the winter months, please make arrangements to have snow and ice removed ahead of time.
Social Media and Web policy: By hiring Paws at home, LLC, you are agreeing to allow your animals to be posted on social media platforms for advertising purposes. Only first animal names will be used and identifying information will be kept at a minimum (for example, but not limited to, taking pictures in a neutral location as to not recognize the background.)
Recording policy: Paws at Home, LLC understands the need to make sure your animals are well taken care of. Recording devices are permitted, but Paws at Home, LLC must be aware of all locations of said devices. In addition to the above, the client agrees to turn over all footage with no subpoena for Paws at Home, LLC review if deemed necessary. Failure to report devices and/or hand over footage will result in legal action with the client being responsible for all fees and costs incurred.
Liability, Damage and/or Injury: The client will be responsible for all medical expenses incurred in the event that a client's pet causes injury to the pet sitter or if client's pet injures another animal. Paws at Home, LLC is insured by Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. Please visit www.petsitllc.com for more detailed information on what is covered by the basic membership coverage. Additionally, if Paws at Home, LLC is splitting services with another caretaker, we are only responsible for what takes place during our scheduled visits.
Emergencies: In the rare event that an animal becomes ill, injured or displays unusual behavior that is a cause for concern, Paws at Home, LLC will make every attempt to contact the client to notify them. While animals are in Paws at Home, LLC care, the client agrees to allow pets to be taken to a vet of their preference (or to an emergency vet after hours) if we feel the animal is in need of care. Client will be responsible for all vet bills incurred. Before starting services, it is a good idea to notify your vet that you will be using a pet sitter and to leave a credit card on file with your preferred vet in case of emergency.
Abusing any of these policies will result in the termination of the pet sitter / client relationship. By starting services, you here by agree to all terms and conditions laid out in this document. Terms and conditions are subject to change with no notice.
