"It is with pleasure to write a letter of reference for Kristen. I am a college graduate with a high honors degree as a Veterinary Assistant who volunteers each winter for a non profit Veterinary Clinic in Mexico. As a devoted Veterinary Assistant leaving behind eight rescue pets, many of whom are elderly and/or special needs, I have exceptionally high standards with no room for compromise. I have been volunteering in Mexico for one to two months at a time for fifteen years. Feeling totally confident leaving my precious pets behind in responsible, knowledgeable and capable hands is never easy.

Kristen proved herself to be an outstanding pet sitter despite the multitudes of challenges presented by my pets.  I have a cat without a colon, a cat with viral Herpes resulting in chronic, debilitating respiratory issues, a cat with a third eye-lid adhered to one eye, a Cherry eye in the other and Pica syndrome. I have three previously neglected, abused and starved rescue dogs. One is a fifteen-year-old senior, blind, handicapped Miniature Poodle requiring extensive care, nurture and patience, an American Pit Bull Terrier with multiple physical and emotional issues resulting from his former life as a bait dog in a fight ring and a sassy Malti-Poo with an attitude problem.

Kristen stoically managed their faults, quirks and medical needs in stride. I found her extremely professional and genuinely concerned about how my pets would relate to her from our first meeting. She has a great rapport with all my animals who are comfortable in her presence, even the most skittish of my creatures. She worked closely with me insuring all the animals were comfortable in my absence. Kristen worked patiently and diligently with my most reclusive and shy felines assuring they received the attention and love they deserve. She has a deep and abiding love and affection for the animals in her care. It is with confidence and without hesitation that I highly recommend her as a pet sitter. I felt completely secure leaving her in control of my pets and was astounded to discover, upon my return, that each and every pet was totally calm, extremely well cared for, happy and healthy.
